Thursday car crash turns the lights out


Accident occurred near Frank Dillard Road



(Jesse Campbell|Jefferson Post) A single vehicle auto accident around 7 p.m. Thursday evening interrupted electrical service outside West Jefferson for some 100 Blue Ridge Electric customers.


WEST JEFFERSON-A single vehicle accident on Frank Dillard Road has Blue Ridge Electric crews working to restore the power to nearly 100 customers Thursday night.

The accident occurred shortly before 7 p.m. According to Blue Ridge Electric’s online outage map, most of the outages are in the vicinity of Frank Dillard Road.

BREMCO crews are currently on scene and working to restore service for affected customers.

The Jefferson Post will update with further details as they become available.
