Randy Cox allegedly stabbed in leg with hunting knife

LANSING-A man was transported to Ashe Memorial Hospital Monday morning after he was allegedly stabbed by a woman during a domestic dispute.

Ashe County Sheriff James Williams said Angelia Burchette Teaster, 45, was charged with assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury after she allegedly stabbed Randy Cox in the leg with a hunting knife.

Williams said first responders were dispatched to a Pine Drive residence, just off Deep Ford Road, in Lansing shortly after 11:30 a.m. Monday, to deal with a reported domestic dispute.

Williams said responders found Cox and transported him by ambulance to Ashe Memorial Hospital. He was unsure of Cox’s current condition or whether the wound was severe enough to be transported to Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center.
