Bomb threat suspect hit with meth charges

JEFFERSON-A Lansing man charged last week, along with two others, with making a false bomb threat against the Ashe County Courthouse in June was hit with drug charges last week.

Jamius Robert Wright, 29, of 4844 Old Hwy 16, Lansing, was charged on Aug. 18, with selling methamphetamine, possession with intent to sell/manufacture/deliver meth and delivering meth. He was issued an $8,000 secured bond and a court date of Aug. 25.

Other individuals recently arrested and booked at the Ashe County Detention Center Thursday, Aug. 18 through Aug. 25 include:

Aug. 18

Fred Blanks, Jr, 25, of 755 Huckleberry Ridge Road, Crumpler, was charged with violating a domestic violence protection order. He was issued a $5,000 secured bond and a court date of Sept. 2.

Aug. 20

Danny Mack Horton, 44, of 420 Ashe Park Road, was charged with second degree trespassing. He was issued a $500 secured bond.

Joshua Mark Hazelwood, 24, of 205 Valley View Drive, Apt. 3, Jefferson, was charged with misdemeanor larceny. He was issued a $500 secured bond and a court date of Sept. 22.

Aug. 22

Danny Dewey Forrester, 52, of 663 Peak Road, Creston, was charged with habitual impaired driving and driving while license revoked.

Aug. 24

Gilardo Cruz Reyes, 36, of 545 South Main St., West Jefferson, was charged with assault on a female and resisting a public officer. He was issued a $2,000 secured bond and a court date of Aug. 25

Amy Lohse Nix, 44, of 303 W. Main St., Jefferson, was charged with simple assault. She was issued a $1,000 secured bond.
