JEFFERSON — The Archers in the Mountains Junior Olympic Archery Development and Adult Archery Achievement club held their first annual Halloween Fun Shoot on Oct. 27. A special thanks to Ashe County Parks and Recreation for providing space for the event.

Refreshments were served including “Halloweiners” and ghost Nutter Butter cookies.

Archers of all ages enjoyed putting arrows into skeletons, bats, jack-o-lanterns and evil clowns. The most fun of all was the favorite orange and black balloons.

Archers in the Mountains was formed to promote the lifelong sport of target archery. The group teaches recurve archery using the NTS method (the training system developed by US Olympic Archery head coach Kisik Lee).

If you would like to attend one of our Introduction to Archery classes and find out more about the programs available, email them at [email protected] You can find Archers in the Mountains on Facebook or archeryevents.com.
