WEST JEFFERSON — Ashe County’s winter sports athletes were honored on Tuesday night for their successes during the 2015-16 sports season.

Varsity and junior varsity basketball, wrestling, varsity and JV cheerleading, indoor track and swimming were all part of the celebration at the high school.

Coaches awarded trophies to players for the achievements this year and any Mountain Valley Athletic Conference awards were also presented to the winter athletes.
